"The city's major celebrant of Bach."
— Houston Chronicle

Mission
Bach Society Houston presents rich, vibrant, historically-informed live music performances of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries in Houston, Texas.

Rick Erickson Director
Prior to Bach Society Houston, Rick served for 22 years as Cantor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New York, where he directed the Bach Vespers series.

Bach Organ
From the outset, the design concept of the Bach Organ was simple: to build an instrument on which to play the works of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Continuo Keyboards
We use three main instruments: the Kalsbeek harpsichord based on Mietke, the Self spinet based on Delin, and the Taylor & Boody portative organ.

History
Since its founding over 35 years ago, Bach Society Houston has become not only a major cultural organization of the United States, but a musical ambassador abroad.
